Look of the day: REFLECTION

Monday, March 4, 2013

I had my doubts concerning how this 'city' outfit will look captured in the center of wilderness right in the heart of Zagreb, park Maksimir.
But looking at the photos now, I actually feel the vibe and the light in the photos is really great.
Also, my hair's curly here, not something you get to see every day!

This is my typical go-to outfit when I have both work and uni in the same day. My friends always make fun of how I have 10 pairs of shorts for winter time, while in summer I barely wear them at all.

*This last one is my favourite

Oh, and I'm wearing:
Zara jacket, Bershka shirt (I got it for my bday, I have to show you the back, it's gorgeous), tailored shorts, Humanic boots, Ray Ban sunglasses, DIY necklaces + the Eiffel tower one is from Rings and Tings

Laters!

XOXO,
Lucija

Look of the day: BELOW MY FEET

Saturday, March 2, 2013

Hi guys, how's your week going?
I held a presentation for a project at my University today morning, so I'm posting the look I was wearing - our team and I had this idea to go a little overboard when it comes to fashion. :)

Wearing:
H&M dress, Benetton blazer, Zara heels, Oasap necklace

XOXO,
Lucija

Look of the day: SNOW (HEY OH)

Sunday, February 24, 2013

I was away for a while. Not physically away away, first I was sick (wisdom teeth, yay!) and I also started working and needed a week or so to kind of make a schedule I could stick to. (I still haven't had a chance to catch up with half of the shows already held at fashion weeks, I've only seen Burberry - because of the show, both Marc Jacobs shows - because of the clothes, and Oscar de la Renta - because of Galliano; so I feel like I'm living in a completely different universe!)

Today, I decided to go outside (although reading a book under a blanket was much more desirable) and take some photos in the snow as it was snowing for the last couple of days in Croatia, once again.

I call this look 'Nerdy' because it reminds me of school, it's totally low key, but still, I really like the vibe. Mixing different materials has always been one of my favourite things when it comes to picking out an outfit.

I'm wearing:
Handmade shirt and coat (by my tailor), Benetton sweater, Zara skirt, Humanic boots, H&M bag,  Rings and tings necklace

XOXO,
Lucija

Look of the day: FROM HATE TO LOVE FROM LOVE TO LUST FROM LUST TO TRUTH

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

I've been away for long. I know. I'm sorry. (Thank you all for visiting the blog during this time when I was away though, you blow my mind sometimes)

It's been hectic. I don't know how else to put it. It's been from hate to love from love to lust from lust to truth (just like the title says) (to be precise: just like Ed Sheeran says, and no, my obsession with that particular man is not over) in a week or so (and it has nothing to do with romance, I kind of put Ed's lyrics in my own context, you do that when you listen to someone 24/7) and (aaaahhhh I should start talking already!!!) I really didn't make it.
This process can sometimes really be time-consuming and when it's cold outside, you've studied all night, had a particularly nasty exam, look like a bad zomby and just need a break, the last thing you want is photos of you to be taken.
It's over now. (well, not really, I have an exam in two weeks) (but it's all put on hold cause it's my birthday in a day and an hour!)

(I feel like I'm trying to catch up with friends while writing posts like this when I was away for a while...)

Here in this outfit I actually present you with my favourite sweater (cause it's gold and sparkly), my new favourite necklace which I got from Oasap (check it out) (eye-catcher), my favourite parka (cause I wear it when it's cold and when it's not) and my newly discovered old skirt which turns out to be my favourite for at least today. I won't mention the boots because we've all realized I'm not taking those off at all.

So:
Zara sweater and skirt, OASAP necklace, Tom Tailor parka, Humanic boots, Accessorize clutch, and the rings are all from H&M (at least I think) except the claw ring which is from Rings and Tings

XOXO,
Lucija

Look of the day: DOWNTOWN

Wednesday, January 9, 2013

As I'm eating cereal and listening to crappy music and trying to get myself to wake up with a gallon of coffee while I should be doing college assignments writing this post I bet you're all in some deep... let's say waters, just like me with the exams, the end of the term and so on.
So why not make it oh-so-easygoing (although if you asked my mom, this is more couture than casual) and show you what I was wearing for running around town today. Yep, that's right, this is live footage, not seen before, of what I had on not twenty minutes ago! (It's the caffeine talking)
I was up from 6am today (that's I think too many days in a row now) and I needed something comfy. (but not dull)

Wearing:
Zara sweatshirt, Benetton shorts, Humanic boots, handmade coat, Asos necklace, H&M bracelets, Ray Ban sunnies, Aldo bag

XOXO,
Lucija

P.S.
Did you see the countdown? :) 21 days to go!

01_2013

Wednesday, January 2, 2013

I can't believe it's twenty-thirteen and I'm still writing to you all regularly and you're still reading me more than regularly and even more extensively. I'm quite happy about that!
Well, gorgeous people, I want to wish you all the best in the next 365 days. (let's say it's still the first of January) (and let's also not think about the fact that the year has the number 13 in it)
It's the first year since 1987 that doesn't have any double digits so let's make it count, huh?
And also, in 2013 (well actually it started on 21/12) the age of Aquarius arises. Which would come as no surprise as we Aquarians rule technology, invention, knowledge and provocative changes. (So yay for that)

In order not to turn this into a random-facts site... moving on. Let's recap twenty-twelve.
I turned eighteen, which is uber cool for the first nine months and super scary since, I had tons of fun, graduated and got into college of my choice, had the best summer ever, really enjoyed myself a lot, partied even more, learned tons, made new friendships, had a lot of fun while blogging. No regrets, only memories and a few hardcore lessons.
I won't tell you my 2013 resolutions, but I will update you throught the year whenever one has been successfully completed.

Also, the new year marks the beginning of my favourite time of the year and that is the countdown to my birthday. Only 29 days left! (What are you all getting me?! :D)

Have you realized this is the first post where I'm wearing a jacket? In the winter? I've always been a coat person, but this one just gets my heart racing! It's from Sheinside. (there's a sale going on)
The dress is H&M and the biker boots are Humanic.

XOXO,
Lucija

Look of the day: SPARKLES

Thursday, December 20, 2012

To continue in the Christmas mode from the last post (my holidays just started today, I'm so happy ohhhh) (Or better said HO HO HO) let's sparkle it up a bit, huh? (Okay, I don't know if this is even a verb/phrase/something but since it's Christmas in 5 days I can be a little foolish)
If I asked you about where I took these photos, would you say outside or inside? I would say somewhere outside. Somewhere so cool.
And actually it's inside. In my apartment. (Hah! I have a cool apartement!)
To talk a little more totally unrelated to anything - can't wait to go home on Saturday and start baking cakes and I decided to do a little DIY project with my Christmas ornaments. Yay!
Okay, what else? Oh yeah, Christmas is somehow in my mind linked to:
#1 color red
#2 sparkles (but everything in my life is somehow linked to that so yeah)
#3 movieeees!
So that should be enough of an explanation for the photos, right? :)

Ohhhhh and I wanted to ask you a really important question! - Last Christmas (my second WLL Christmas, this is so cute!) I asked you about your favourite traditions.
This year I ask you about what your favourite movies to watch around Christmas are. (Everyone who says Harry Potter gets extra points)

Oh, I almost forgot:
the sweater (which is my no.1 choice for NYE at the moment, it's just oh-so-magical) is Chicnova, earrings are vintage, bracelet is from H&M and heels are from Zara

XOXO,
Lucija

Fragments: INDIE KID

Saturday, December 8, 2012

Today I woke up to a snowstorm.
Which means that:
#1 I'm happy as a kid who is for the first time reading Harry Potter
#2 I have no idea how to take photos outside (you know, because my camera will die as it's snowing like maaaad!)
#3 You get fragments of my look I have chosen fondly over the last month when it was still fairly warm
#4 As soon as I finish this I'm gonna go build a snowman and get into a snowfight and there will probably be more snow activites (I'll tell you the details and show you photos soon!)

(I just realized that the number on my shirt is 94 and I was born in the winter of '94. Oh happy coincidences!)

Wearing:
H&M shirt, 3 Suisses baseball jacket, Gap jeans, H&M, Asos and DIY friendship bracelets, vintage silver & leather necklace

XOXO,
Lucija

Look of the day: I WANNA SING I WANNA SHOUT

Thursday, November 22, 2012

To continue in this fairytale mood we started in the last post - we shot these pics at night so, firstly, my apologies for the bluriness, although I think it suits the mood quite lovely, and I love the vibrance as well.
This is one of my favourite outfits in the last month or so, as it features black and white - 'colors' I somehow choose fondly this season.

The title - although I'm in the middle of my exams, I'm still quite relaxed and the overall impression of these first months in college has been decent. So it's not about me going nuts, it's from Professor Green feat. Emily Sande's Read All About It which has been on constant replay for the last I don't know how much.
For me the songs which have a tendency of occupying your thoughts and make you feel a thousand things altogether are just what music is all about. (Or any passion at all, for that matter)

I ain't censoring myself for nobody
I'm the only thing I can be
All that is good, all that is bad
All that is me

Wearing:
Zara top and jacket, Mango jeans, Accessorize clutch and necklace, Kragrlica leather collar, Guess watch and vintage bracelet

Oh, and also, to bring a little joy to your routines (as it's the middle of the week, I'm sure there's a little bit of that in everyone's life) - I'm giving you a chance to shop for free a little.

Chicnova is giving you a 30$ shopping spree.

All you gotta do is:
Be a fan of Chicnova & WLL on Facebook (or Pinterest or Tumblr)

Look of the day: KARL

Monday, November 19, 2012

First things first - tomorrow is kind of a crucial day (Exam) (Oh, no, pardon me, exams) for me so let's all pray that it ends well. Thanks.

And now, let's get down to business: I had this idea about calling this look 'Alice in Wonderland' but I figured, although the venue was perfect and the amount of Photoshop used for the story was just about right, a dress was indeed needed, so I'll leave it for another time as the man on my chest was far more important than the whole lost-in-the-woods scheme.
For those who still haven't figured it out - it's Karl Lagerfeld. (As said in the title, and once again - clearly shown hanging around my neck) If you remember (and you should, cause Karl's an icon) (& when you look at it, a brand all by himself) this necklace was produced a year or so ago, at a price of Kenzo's right now it-sweaters.
So instead of forgetting about it, I decided to use my imagination and DIY. And it turned out amazing - since I'm not the DIY type so much. (Patience is not my thing)
Okay, let's move on. I bought these over-the-top Lana Del Rey H&M leggings a while ago (Well, actually, I bought them as soon as I saw the ad) (I even chased my size all over town) and then realized I don't have a sweater to wear them with. (Well, I have sweaters, but since I'm not that 'leggings are pants' kind of gal, I had to find a different kind of sweater)
So Sheinside sent me this cutie pie and now I'm all done. I'm lovin' the all-black thing vs. colored-splashed leggings.

And not to forget - what you're seeing today is my hair au naturale. (I think that's a first!) I usually straigten it or wear it in a ponytail/chignon/bun but today, for some unknown reason, stopped resisting and let it be. (And it's not even that bad)

Wearing:
Sheinside sweater, H&M leggings, Humanic boots, H&M hat, DIY necklace, tailored coat

XOXO,
Lucija
