WLL's #1 B-DAY

This week we're celebrating WLL's first birthday. It's already been a year since I started doing this crazy thing, and to be honest - it was one of the best things I've done.
It started out as nothing more than a joke - it was not even my idea, but it was my friend who wrote a comment on one of my photos on FB "You should open a fashion blog." 
And so I did. 
It's been a year and yeah, I've changed haircuts - you've seen me rocking everything from the pixie cut to bangs, and now, finally - high buns. But not only that changed - I see the world quite differently than I did last September, I'm outta high school and heading to college, and I'm in love as fashion as much as anyone could be.
I have to thank tens of thousands of you who read the blog - whether you do it once in a while, or you're hardcore fans and leave me sweet messages, beautiful comments saying how much you love this and that. I am amazed by how many times you click on th blog, it enabled me to collaborate with some amazing people and to see and experience a lot, and I expect so much more to happen in the future. Love ya. Really.
And also, thanks thanks thanks to my crew who I adore. (and who do the diry work haha)

Now let's blow some candles and eat some cake.

BIRTHDAY GIFTS vol.2

I spent the afternoon with my family (and family friends) drinking wine and eating too many dinner courses. We also had cake - this time there were three. (my camera fell asleep (=died) in the moment when the cakes were being brought on the table, sometimes I feel so lucky!!) (they were really pretty - a white one with cheese and pineapple, the black one with dark chocolate and the brown one - a sacher cake) 
I just took all the photos of the gifts I got today... there is one not included in the photos - a spa treatement. (just emagine me doing a dance to I feel good song here)

Photo2 - a necklace I got that has my name on it (in gold), I think it is my favourite (that's why it's in b&w) while I've been craving a name necklace ever since I've first seen SATC

Photo4 - another bouquet, love these flowers because of the green pigment in the petals
Photo5 - sparkly earrings in white gold (so me!!) (& seems like everyone's buying me earrings this year - am I unaware of some kind of a tradition here?) (not that I have a problem with it, they are all oh so gorgeous)


I can't tell you how tired I am. Planning two parties, having a birthday in the middle of the week and school are more than I can handle right now. 
Although I got it four days ago, I still haven't tried out my tripod - I just seem unable to find the time. + it's snowing outside and it's so cold my fingers freeze everytime I'm out for more than ten minutes. (I guess someone read all of my posts about how there's no snow this year and made my wishes come true!! Result? Emotinally - I'm super happy. Physically? Totally exhausted of trying not to fall to much. Fashion-wise? Totally screwed. Although I try, you cannot really look too fashion forward while trying to walk the streets when it's -10°C.)
Aaaaahhh. Before I fell asleep sitting at my computer and drool all over my keyboard...

BIRTHDAY GIFTS vol.1

Sooo, here's the first set of gifts I got from my best friends for my birthday. 
The tiara, Zara faux fur, silver jewelry box, vintage earrings, Chanel le vernis in magnificent pink called rose exuberant. + the small earrings (in the yellow box) - a gift from my mom.

The BIRTHDAY

So, as you must know by now (I've been talking about it for weeks!!) – yesterday was my birthday. It was all I could wish for and even more. The sparkle, the pink and the cake, it was all there.

Woke up at 10 (that was a gift by itself, never get to do that), sipped coffee with my best friends and headed to school to find all of my dearest friends (and classmates) waiting for me with chocolate cake with the number 18 on it. We ate, sang (every period another magnificent performance of Happy birthday) and had a lot of fun!! I got a tiara – a tiara!! And flowers and balloons (the pink set of baloons was actually the second I got, the first was waiting for me when I woke up!!) and the faux fur coat I'm wearing in the latter photos. We went out for drinks after and had a blast and when I got home a professional tripod was waiting for me on my bed – my parents really know how to make me scream with excitement. After all that, I was so tired I fell asleep dressed. (make up on, totally ashamed for that) 

Such an amazing day!!

Tomorrow – the post of the first set of gifts (as I'm hosting two birthday parties – one this Saturday, the other on 18 February, a lot of gifts have yet to come!)

I'm so awfully sorry for the poor quality of the photos – none were taken by someone who has a clue what they're doing and they were all a spur-of-the-moment thing. Also, half of them were taken in chem lab while we had our first period there. (that's the reason I'm surrounded by bottles!!)

NEW IN

These gorgeous Zara lovelies were an early gift for my birthday (happening on Tuesday) (OMG OMG OMG only two days away!!) and they are so gorgeous that I still, 2 days after opening the box, haven't put them in my shoe closet. They are too pretty so I just leave them sitting on my dresser - a spark of pink can never hurt!!

Look of the day: 3 DAYS

Just to explain the title - three days. Three days until my birthday, and I'm living my last days as a minor to the fullest. Yesterday afternoon was on of the best, so much laughter and joy, and in the end - I'm so happy because the photos turned up really great. 

I'm really excited for my birthday and most of all, am really grateful for all of you who are reading my blog and wishing me an early happy birthday. 

Wearing the coat by me, H&M shirt, Zara skirt, vintage boots, Accessorize scarf, Aldo bag and all the jewelry is by H&M except the earrings, which are vintage.

ALL THINGS BIRTHDAY

My birthday is a week from today - which means all I think about is my birthday and all things birthday-related.  I still can't believe it's just seven days away, I remember thinking how I'll never turn 18, not in a million years, and look at me now, all grown up. Yeah, apparently I am supposed to be ;)
As I'm totally daydreaming 24/7 the last two days and also totally having a really nasty cold (means: I look/feel/sometimes act like a crazy mammal and sleep too much) I just gathered all the photos that sum up the perfect birthday for me - some crazy obvious and some just so pretty they fit so much to one's birthday.
We can all dream a little, huh? And in a week I'll have my day of the year when I'll be a princess for a day. You only turn 18 once!!
