Look of the day: HELLO HOLLYWOOD

On Saturday my real birthday party finally took place - although the birthday was somehow celebrated 2 months later, we all agreed the party was one of the best we've ever been to. (I know you're all reading this - I love you so much)
The food was great (thanks mom, thanks dad, thanks the catering company), the wine was superb and the music was just too loud. Enough said, right?! 

Once again I found my dress less than 24 hours before the party... After browsing through tons of clothes in several stores I walked into a vintage shop without any expectation and found this gorgeous dress. It was too long for my taste so I had it altered and I gotta say, I love how elegant it feels... So there's your explanation for the title ;)

Ohhhh, and to explain the photos - the lighting was perfect on Saturday afternoon + I had too much fun playing in Photoshop this time. These are probably my favourite photos for the blog up to now!!

Sooo, here's the first set of gifts I got from my best friends for my birthday. 
The tiara, Zara faux fur, silver jewelry box, vintage earrings, Chanel le vernis in magnificent pink called rose exuberant. + the small earrings (in the yellow box) - a gift from my mom.

The BIRTHDAY

So, as you must know by now (I've been talking about it for weeks!!) – yesterday was my birthday. It was all I could wish for and even more. The sparkle, the pink and the cake, it was all there.

Woke up at 10 (that was a gift by itself, never get to do that), sipped coffee with my best friends and headed to school to find all of my dearest friends (and classmates) waiting for me with chocolate cake with the number 18 on it. We ate, sang (every period another magnificent performance of Happy birthday) and had a lot of fun!! I got a tiara – a tiara!! And flowers and balloons (the pink set of baloons was actually the second I got, the first was waiting for me when I woke up!!) and the faux fur coat I'm wearing in the latter photos. We went out for drinks after and had a blast and when I got home a professional tripod was waiting for me on my bed – my parents really know how to make me scream with excitement. After all that, I was so tired I fell asleep dressed. (make up on, totally ashamed for that) 

Such an amazing day!!

Tomorrow – the post of the first set of gifts (as I'm hosting two birthday parties – one this Saturday, the other on 18 February, a lot of gifts have yet to come!)

I'm so awfully sorry for the poor quality of the photos – none were taken by someone who has a clue what they're doing and they were all a spur-of-the-moment thing. Also, half of them were taken in chem lab while we had our first period there. (that's the reason I'm surrounded by bottles!!)

Look of the day: 3 DAYS

Just to explain the title - three days. Three days until my birthday, and I'm living my last days as a minor to the fullest. Yesterday afternoon was on of the best, so much laughter and joy, and in the end - I'm so happy because the photos turned up really great. 

I'm really excited for my birthday and most of all, am really grateful for all of you who are reading my blog and wishing me an early happy birthday. 

Wearing the coat by me, H&M shirt, Zara skirt, vintage boots, Accessorize scarf, Aldo bag and all the jewelry is by H&M except the earrings, which are vintage.

ALL THINGS BIRTHDAY

My birthday is a week from today - which means all I think about is my birthday and all things birthday-related.  I still can't believe it's just seven days away, I remember thinking how I'll never turn 18, not in a million years, and look at me now, all grown up. Yeah, apparently I am supposed to be ;)
As I'm totally daydreaming 24/7 the last two days and also totally having a really nasty cold (means: I look/feel/sometimes act like a crazy mammal and sleep too much) I just gathered all the photos that sum up the perfect birthday for me - some crazy obvious and some just so pretty they fit so much to one's birthday.
We can all dream a little, huh? And in a week I'll have my day of the year when I'll be a princess for a day. You only turn 18 once!!
