What I snapped: #6

Sunday, September 23, 2012

We shot these photos some four hours ago but I couldn't resist showing them to you ASAP as I'm kinda totally-not-being-modest-at-all in love with them. I don't know if there's a better feeling than being deeply gratified with what you've done knowing that, from the beginning, it's been your work one hundred percent.
What I always look for in a photo, whether it's a part of editorial or a single shot, is that it has to make you react in some way - whether you say it's grotesque, beautiful, or it brings up a memory or just reflects a feeling. To me, these are far too familiar to bring out feelings, (cause, you know, I've been looking at them for so long now) (Photoshop is a bitch that way) but I do associate them with both RNR and apocalypse at the same time. (Which is both a reason to be worried and pleased, I think) (But they make me react somehow, and that's the important part)

Oh, and thanks to Nina. I know you've already seen her here a couple of times, but we just can't stop shooting together. And isn't she just oh so gorgeous?

Lucija

Yesterday I did a shoot with my friend Nina. The general idea was to do it Rock N Roll style, and I'm really in love with how the photographs turned out.
Nina's wearing: Zara shirt and leather pants, vintage jewelry, Converse sneakers, Ray Ban sunglasses

Photography & styling by me.

XOXO,
Lucija

Look of the day: SPINNING

Just a fair warning - there will be so much of me in this post you won't be able to believe it.
I kind of had some time today to just play with my camera a little and than I took it all to Photoshop. (This sounds so professional) (Fake it 'till you make it!!)
You finally get to experience three things today:
1) You see me in my all-time favourite colour - green. (Which is also the colour of my eyes) (But you can't really see that in the photos) (Cause I look like Voldemort with a nose) (Sorry, my photoshop skills only go so far) (It's better for me not to know how to use photoshop - everyone would have pink hair) (And no one would let me take their photos any more) (Cause in the end they would have pink hair) (And it seems that sounds like a great idea only to me)
2) You get to see my hair on its decent-looking day (If I had pink hair, I think my hair would always look decent)
3) You get to read a post without so much of my blabering about unrelated topics (Yeah, I guess you can forget about that)

(I'll just leave you with many many many versions of me while I figure out what this post was initially all about)

Dress and cardigan by H&M, tights by Calzedonia, booties by 3Suisses, jewelry is vintage, clutch is by me

Hi guys, I'm back from another 7-day holiday and I've planned some wonderful posts for you this week cause I haven't been blogging from the seaside.
Since you've treated me with such beautiful comments on my photos in the last photography post, I've decided to indulge myself by having some more photos commented! Haha :)
All the photos were taken at Primošten, Croatia where the sea is heavenly, sun is sparkling and the fun is guaranteed. And the girl in the last few photos is my gorgeous friend Dora. (the see-through silk dress is vintage and the long one is mine by Mango)
What do you think?

XOXO,
Lucija
