Look of the day: FROM HATE TO LOVE FROM LOVE TO LUST FROM LUST TO TRUTH

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

I've been away for long. I know. I'm sorry. (Thank you all for visiting the blog during this time when I was away though, you blow my mind sometimes)

It's been hectic. I don't know how else to put it. It's been from hate to love from love to lust from lust to truth (just like the title says) (to be precise: just like Ed Sheeran says, and no, my obsession with that particular man is not over) in a week or so (and it has nothing to do with romance, I kind of put Ed's lyrics in my own context, you do that when you listen to someone 24/7) and (aaaahhhh I should start talking already!!!) I really didn't make it.
This process can sometimes really be time-consuming and when it's cold outside, you've studied all night, had a particularly nasty exam, look like a bad zomby and just need a break, the last thing you want is photos of you to be taken.
It's over now. (well, not really, I have an exam in two weeks) (but it's all put on hold cause it's my birthday in a day and an hour!)

(I feel like I'm trying to catch up with friends while writing posts like this when I was away for a while...)

Here in this outfit I actually present you with my favourite sweater (cause it's gold and sparkly), my new favourite necklace which I got from Oasap (check it out) (eye-catcher), my favourite parka (cause I wear it when it's cold and when it's not) and my newly discovered old skirt which turns out to be my favourite for at least today. I won't mention the boots because we've all realized I'm not taking those off at all.

So:
Zara sweater and skirt, OASAP necklace, Tom Tailor parka, Humanic boots, Accessorize clutch, and the rings are all from H&M (at least I think) except the claw ring which is from Rings and Tings

STREETSTYLE HIGHLIGHTS 2012

Thursday, December 27, 2012

A new year is coming in four days and it would be such a shame not to look back at some of the most beautiful moments that happened on the streets of our four favourite cities in the world. I won't give you a list of trends that occupied our minds (and wallets) or say who was the best or worst dressed - there will be plenty of sites and magazines offering you info on that.
Instead, I'll be totally biased as always and show you some of the girls that made my heart sparkle a little more during the fashion year of twenty-twelve.

Elena Perminova. Miroslava Duma. Rumi Neely. Leigh Lazark. Natasha Goldenberg. Caroline Issa.

Elena Perminova

Look of the day: IN MY PLACE

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

I had trouble figuring out what name this post should get, after doing almost two hundred of these sweet yet mind-numbing thingies, you loose your touch a bit. Then it dawned on me to just do a song name, so I typed in Coldplay, because, well, it's Coldplay.
I love love love this Zara shirt? I got a few days ago. The fit's loose, which is a first for me, and the sleeves are just like we've seen on Burberry's runway two days ago - non expected. wow moment. When I think of it, I almost didn't purchase it because it reminded me of hoodies too much. But then again, it's all in the details, right?

Wearing:
Zara shirt, Mango collections pants, Aldo shoes, Topshop bag, H&M jewelry, Casio watch

Look of the day: BARBECUE

Monday, September 17, 2012

Yesterday's outfit a.k.a what I wore to a barbecue which turned into an all-nighter. Just to quickly explain the weird photos (though I kinda like them) (but that's probably just the too-much-staring-into-the-screen effect) - we wanted to shoot at a different location but a bunch of kids decided to practice some bad hip-hop moves there, and it was dark before we could figure out where to shoot instead. So these were shot at eightish I think, but I really like the sky and the sudden bursts of light in some of them.
I know you're expected to wear your favourite tracksuit to these kind of events, but I think we already established I'm not that kind of gal. This is the most toned-down outfit I could think of. Thank God for Converse.

Wearing:
H&M collections top, Benetton blazer, Mustang jeans, Converse, vintage necklace from Sarajevo, H&M earrings, Ray Ban sunnies, Aldo bag

Oh, and big thank you to everyone who sent in sweet comments about the new blog design. I also fixed all the bugs some of you complained about. (sorry bout that, I'm not a programmer and it's all try and see for me at the moment, but I do my best)

XOXO,
Lucija

Look of the day: UNDER THE BRIDGE

Wednesday, September 12, 2012

Lemme tell ya something (this ghetto talk totally suits my today's shoot location) (so Imma use it) (yeah, your heard me) - okay, now serious. Today was not a really good day for me. To be realistic, it sucked. Big time.
My horoscope has been - hmmm, not positive - for, well,  a while now and somehow (although I never really believed in that stuff) it's so accurate for the last month or so that, whether I want to admit it or not (and I don't) - there is something in the position of stars that got us Aquarius' stuck in an on repeat bad mood kinda thing and whoever writes that bloody thing every day for a certain application of a certain book of faces writes it all like it is. (Am I making sense? No? Good. Today's the day)
When these photos were shot, I actually experienced only half of the drama for my day so I was a little bit happier than I am right now so the photos, in my modest totally non-biased opinion look kinda good. (Aaaand I'm writing like a psycho non-educated maniac)
Okay. To make it simple - I had planned a lovely trip that fell through. I'm heartbroken. Let's all raise our glasses for better times.

Wearing:
Pull and Bear shirt, skirt by me, Tommy Hilfiger heels, H&M bag, Benetton blazer, H&M jewelry, Casio watch, Ray Ban sunnies

Look of the day: COUNTRYSIDE + GIVEAWAY

Thursday, August 16, 2012

When I got a gift from a London-based internet shop max c, I experienced quite a shock.
I've never been a fan of jumpsuits (although somehow I have a thing for those worn on the red carpet) and floral print was never something I gave much of a thought. (I think the only floral-printed garnment I posses is a white jacket with a pink print, but those are some big flowers there)
So when I opened my package one morning and saw a floral-printed jumpsuit, I was... hmmm... petrified. confused. shocked. thinking "what the hell am I gonna wear this with?!"
But after several hours/when I got back to it, I realized it is a perfect little piece for the beach. You know, a bikini, a jumpsuit and a hat. Maybe throw in some lovely canvas tote and you're all ready to catch some sun.
The problem was - the nearest beach is some 250 kilometers away.
So... I left the jumpsuit hanging on the door of my closet so I it's right there where I can always see it - a method I use when I can't think of an outfit to go with a garment - and an idea came up.
I wanted the whole look to be captured a little bit more editorial so we did it at the countryside and I'm quite pleased with the result.
Also, it was the first time in a very long time I put on my Converse - and now it seems I can't take them off.

Update: after two days in a row I spent wearing my Converse, my feet are killing me - I'm back to sky high heels

Wearing:
max c london jumpsuit, Tom Tailor parka, Converse sneakers, Accessorize and vintage jewelry, Ray Ban sunglasses, H&M bag

Ohhhh.
I have exciting news, too!

Look of the day: I ♥ IT

Sunday, August 5, 2012

At the seaside I wore this dress with heels for a night out. It was perfect for dancing all night long and it looked amazing next to colorful cocktails we were sipping.
In the city I choose to wear it more relaxed, with my favourite Repetto flats and sunnies - it's just so damn hot. + the bright Chanel nail polish goes perfectly with the b&w.

Wearing:
H&M dress, Topshop bag, Repetto ballet flats, vintage bracelets from Barcelona, Tunisia and Sarajevo, Accessorize earrings

XOXO,
Lucija
